Description
The aldrop is still the main-door fitting of choice across most of India, and for good reason: it takes a padlock, it is visible, and there is very little in it to go wrong. This one is solid brass rather than brass-plated, so it does not streak green down a painted door after a wet season. The bar is thick enough to resist being prised, and the keeper plate is drilled for four screws rather than two so the fixing spreads its load.
