Description
The long shackle exists for a specific problem: hasps, chain links and gate eyes that are too far apart or too thick for a standard lock to reach through. The extra reach is deliberately paired with a boron-alloy shackle, because a long shackle gives a bolt cutter more purchase and a soft one would be a liability. The body is solid brass and the keyway is shielded by a raised collar that leaves very little room to work a pick or a shim.
